Printer non responsive using 1.0.4

I'm running Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. When I try to connect to my printer (a DELTA) using Repetir-Host 1.0.4 the status in the manual control tab goes from disconnected to idle, but the controls are all greyed out and nonresponsive. All commands associated with printing are acting similarly. I tried the V0.95F build using identical settings and everything works.

  • What board and firmware are you running?
Also what are your printer settings (reset on connect etc.)
  • Same problem. Smoothieware running on an Azteeg X5.  1.0.3 was working fine - downloaded the update to 1.0.4 and it will say "Idle" but the connect/disconnect button stays red / disconnected, all options for manual control grayed out, etc.  RoC is low-high-low, 99% sure it was the same on 1.0.4.  .95F connects up fine and everything works with identical settings
  • Hi there!

I had the same problem but managed to fix it.

Go to Printer Settings and try this:

    1. make sure your baudrate specified in the Printer Settings matches the baudrate of your board's configuration (in my case a Mega2560 programmed with Arduino)
    2. set "Reset on Connect" to "Disabled" instead of "DTR low->high->low"
    3. click "Apply" and "OK" to store the settings and return to Repetier Host.

After this I was able to connect again to my printer and control it manually as before in version 095.

I hope it works for you as well.
