Defining Board GT2560 In Firmware

I was curious how I would define a GT2560 under my firmware settings.  Since there are no specific settings for the GT2560, would I treat it as a Mega2560 1.2 (3) or as a Ramps 1.4 - extruder0, extruder1, heatbed (34) setup?  Thanks!

  • I'm not sure I understand your question, but my printer uses a GT2560 control board.  The configuration.h file in my Marlin FW that came with it calls it an unltimaker, and the resources exactly match the ultimaker shield 1.5.7 in the list of Motherboards. It's a type 37.  I used that to configure Repetier .929 and it works without issue, selecting the typical pins for extruders and heater.
  • Yup that's the info I was looking for, making one from scratch.  Thank you!
  • GT2560 is identical to Mega 2560. So select RAMPS which defaults to e0,e1,bed with fan also set on e1 so watch out if you select fan to change the fan pin from FAN_PIN to pin number.
  • Ah okay, thank you very much! :)
