Z Layer height is changing infill %

edited December 2015 in Slic3r
Hi all,

I went to go print some test cubes with different layer heights today for reference and I noticed something really strange.
I printed cubes at layer heights at 0.30, 0.25, 0.20, 0.15, and 0.10. I noticed that the thinner the layer height gets, the less the % infill actually is even though I had it set at 20% for every print (only changed the z layer height).

I am running Repetier Host V1.6.0 with Slic3r 1.2.9

Here is a photo for reference.

  • If you have infill width set to auto the walls get thicker and thus you get less walls. I'm not sure why this should be a good idea as I like more walls so top does not sag too much. So I set wall thickness for infill to nozzle width or a bit more.
