E3d v6 upgrade problems

I just installed an E3d v6 on my Solidoodle 3. It seemed like everything was going right until I connected to Repetier and tried to heat the extruder. It would work briefly then stop. It all stopped working at once (X,Y and Z movement, extruder function etc..) When I press disconnect and then connect again, it all works briefly then stops working again. Could it be my Repetier settings?

    What firmware and what does th elog say on stop? Could be a problem with the thermistor playing cracy causing firmware to stop.
