My Z axis is at home 230mm, it then will approach the build plate and return to home. It also skips steps during the acceleration periods. How can I stop this extra move?
Z axis is often very sensitive to z acceleration and max z speed. Reason is you often split on 2 motors so both have less force plus friction from rotation.
What are your z homing parameters? Normally z max home will not move down. But if you have configured z min home with up move 230 for example that would happen. But can't say without seeing your parameter what could be causing it.
