Buttons instead of rotary encoder

Hello everyone.
I want to install 3 buttons instead of a rotary encoder. What should I change in the software? Maybe there is already done solution in the program?

    take a look at uiconfig.h that also contains explanations.

    otherwise look at DisplayList.h  if a predefined controller works for you,
    some of them use buttons instead of encoder
