Webcam recording and filament retraction

Hi,

When I activate webcam recording with a fixed position, repetier-server adds obviously some gcode in order to position the print head during recording operation. In case printer requires some filament retraction in order to avoid "print-polution" (as my printer), the print result gets ugly. Im most cases the printer makes a short break, before it moves the head away from last position of a layer and then runs out with filament at that place.

I would appreciate, if there would be a feature, that allows filament retraction after last print operation of a layer and corrects that after repositioning.

Cheers,
Thomas

  • This is already included, the setting is just not at that place. Go to Printer-Configuration->Extruder and set retraction distance to whatever you want. That is the retraction snapshots use to retract filament.
