Custom boot screen not showing

Hi!

Im using repetier server with touchscreen interface on a 3.5" pi lcd.. and its fantastic! Glad i bought it.
I wanted to spice it up with a custom splash screen and followed the instructions in the documentation......

but it is not showing...is there a difference between pi's? im using a 3 b. Or what could i try?

    That was with 7" touchscreen over HDMI. Not sure this would work on 3.5" or if this still works with current linux distro. There are quite some solution for linux to get a boot screen, also it is not really worth the trouble. It will only appear a few seconds and then disappear when xserver starts. That is why we removed our bootscreen. But if you like one just google bootscreen raspbian (or debian) and you will find several solution.
