Problem with Z max Home

Hi everybody !

I made a DIY CNC milling machine and i would like that Z axis homes to Z-Max, but he doesn't work.
Wen i ask a Z homing (G28 Z), Z goes down of 2/3mm and stops instead go up until the Z-max enstop.
I have 4 endstops on my machine, X-, Y-,Z-,Z+. X and Y min homing works perfectly.
I set Z_HOME_DIR 1
M119 is ok : X- L, Y- L, Z- L, Z+ L when they are not triggered.
On Repetier host, when i hit Home Z, Z goes down of 2/3mm and stops, and the console says me " X 0, Y 0, Z 80"
(80 is the Z-max length on my CNC)
Thank you for your help, i'm looking for a solution for 4 days, that make me crazy !

  • What direction do you get if you move z up after connection? Home dir and endstops look good, but maybe z direction it self is set wrong, so you need to invert z axis in config. That it only goes 2-3mm might be a bad steps per mm setting, see eeprom values set.

    Hi Repetier ! Thank you for your reply, My Z direction is ok, when i click on the up arrow on Repetier Host, Z goes up, when i click on the down arrow, Z goes down !
    The CNC job is ok, my only issue is the Z home direction :(

    Hi !
    I fixed the issue !
    The firmware was good, the issue was interferences in my cables that sent high signal !
    I wired the switch normaly closed and inverted the logic of the switch in the firmware and now all works perfectly :)
