Unhandled exception has occured | Maximum baud rate

Hi !

I have a problem with Repetier Host. I'm on Windows 10. I have not found a solution to my problem on google.

When I'm trying to connect my Scara Arm 3D Printer, this error pops up:

  • System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: The maximum baud rate for the device is 21105.

That is a very low and very uncommon baud rate. Current serial drivers normally have no problems with 250000 and often support even higher baud rates. So I wonder if that is the right port or if you could find a better driver for window 10. This is a error coming back from windows driver I think as it happens while setting the baud rate. If windows does not accept is the only solution I see is using a driver that can do so.
  • Hi !

Thank you for your answer. I tried to connect my device on another port, but the message is the same (this time, the maximum baud rate is 28023).

Whera can I find a better driver for W10 ? Which one ?

    Best regards
  • Very strange - changing port should not change baud rate.

Whcih one depends on the chip used for usb serial conversion on your motherboard. Once you know that you can google for windows 10 drivers. Hardware manager in windows should help to identify this or the board vendor who should also provide matching drivers for his board.

Thank you for your answer. I will try this.
