Random prints from zero point.

I had repetier host working relatively well for a few slices then I began to experiment with adding support layers I added some support material with the "support on print bed only" option and then I ended up with weird extrusion paths coming from the zero point in my print. Weirder still is that it doesn't matter which setting I use now all my slices have these extrusion from the zero point added. Is there something in my settings I have wrong? Or is this some kind of glitch? Has anyone encountered this before?

  • It even looks like all lines go to z=0. You should test it in gcode editor with one layer where it happens and see where this happens. Marking lines highlight preview yellow so it is wuite easy if you have the layer to find where the "glitch" happen. Then it's the question if it really stands there or not and preview is wrong. In latte rcase please send us the gcode so we can check why it is drawn wrong in that case and fix.

    Had the same issue a few times. I was never able to found that path in the g-code, so I decided to print it and it also did no strange movements. How can I send the file?

  • Dropbox or googledrive and send downloadlink to forum. You can delete it later when answered. If printing dod not do it it is a error in host so I'm surely interested to see what causes this.

    I have to say that this gcode in general is a little bit strange, since the outer perimeter was printed faster than the two inner ones.... It was a stl file from thingiverse, sliced with Slic3r. I printed 20 pieces which all came out nice (realized that strange behavior later). Just for your information, if relevant

  • For me it looks ok. Might depend on filament visualization settings in preferences. Can you post also your settings there so I can check if they come with your values. Also what OpenGL driver are you using? You see it in the log window at startup.

  • Should be everything that has an influence. tested it on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 with same settings and gcode file and had no error at all. Only difference is having an other graphic card and hence not same driver. Maybe if others can also report the graphic driver who have the problem we can say it is the driver. Maybe something is missing to start correctly or driver has some non standard behaviour, no idea. For now at least I can not reproduce it and can not say where it comes from. So if any one has an idea what causes the error to appear let me know so I can fix it. For now I have to leave it unfixed, but since it is not printer the importance is limited.
