Z Axis moves very slowly but settings should be fine

in Repetier-Firmware
i have installed the firmware and copied over the settings from marlin and the x and y axis moves great but the z Axis just moves ever so slowly i have a max speed set as 200mms and the steps per mm is 80 but it just moves so slowly 

its barely noticeable apart from seeing the thread pulse round

    What type and size threaded rod is on the Z axis ?
    Sounds like your Z steps/mm are far to low.
