Printer display disabled y Server

I am not sure where to ask this question..so its here ;-)

I use the Repertier server pro with a Rasberry Pi 3B with 7" Raspberry touch screen

and an Anycubic Mega X printer.

This setup / System works fine, however, the printer display becomes disabled when the print job is

started and I have to re start the printer ( Strom Aus / An ) to access some of the features again like Filament retraction as an example when changing the spools. I know one can do this with the Server but its very slow. Also when the print job crashes it is not possible to "restart / resume " printing because the printer display does not respond!

Question: Is this intentional or do I have a Software / Firmware problem ?

You are talking about the mega display and not the pi 7" display, right? We have no control over the mega display, so I can not say if this intentional. On my anymega display did not disappear during print as far as I remember. Maybe that has changed with newer firmware also I can not say which command makes it disappear.

P.S.

When the print job is finished or stopped due to an error( eg "Thermal runaway") the display

stays disabled.

Kannst du testen ob eines dieser Befehle das Display deaktiviert? Wüste sonst nicht was es sonst sein könnte, da ich den Drucke ja nicht Programmiert habe.

Und ist es getrent von der Print job G-Code erst

geschickt?

Ja bei jedem druckstart und es ist unabhängig von dem was du sonst einträgst. Es wird zusätzlich gesendet. Das sind Befehle um den Druckstatus am Drucker anzuzeigen wenn über einen externen host gedruckt wird. Ändert also nichts am Druck, geht nur darum den Anzeigemodus entsprechend zu aktivieren, wenn die Firmware Versiond as bereits unterstützt.

Das einzige was funktioniert is das buzzer befehl!!

Ich habe Erfahren das es ein double belegung von der schnittstelle sein könnte.

Ich schaue nach und melde mich nochmal.

Da hast du mich falsch verstanden. Die Frage war mehr ob diese Befehle zur deaktivierung des Bildschirms führen. Du sagtest ja am anfang geht es und beim Druckstart wird es dunkel. Hört sich also an als ob ein Befehl das verursacht.

Die neuen Grafischen bildschirme haben in der tat normal einen eigenen Prozessor und betriebssystem und kommunizieren per serieller Schnittstelle mit der Firmware. Normal haben die Boards dazu aber zwei serielle Schnittstellen. Da du ja normal drucken kannst abgesehen vom dunklen Schirm, denke ich nicht das es das ist. Es sei den er schaltet sich schon bei Verbindung mit dem Server ab da externe USB vorrang hat und das irgendwie erkannt wird.

Sorry, it got "Lost in translation"

So this is what I have tried:

1. Switch off Mega x and Pi.

2 Switch Mega X on then Pi.

3. Mega X reacts to Z Axis control on LCD ( as an eample).

4. Mega X reacts to Z Axis control from Pi.

5. Enter your G-Code : M530 S1 L70.........etc

6.Nothing happens.

7. Z commands from Megax LCD are still active.

8. Start a print job from Pi queue.

9. Stop print after ca. 1 Min. ( to save time) not using emergency stop!!.

10. Printer does not react to Z Axis commands from LCD panel ( e.g. 3 x 10mm up) but it beeps.

11 Press "Emergency stop" on Pi.

12 Printer then carries out the Z Axis command from pos. 10. It has obviously stored it.

Thanks for the info.

Anycubic are sending me a new motherboard which apparently I have to flash the Firmware

before installing it. At the same time I will check the physical connections and write back after testing.

also die ersatz Motherboard ist Eingebaut und functioniert ohne Probleme.
