Normally it would hit all 3 endstops and then all go back. You need to go back enough to not trigger endstops any more. And after last retest you need to go down enough that selection of extruder is possible and endstops are also not triggered.
Check what log is saying and also test M119 if one or more endstops are hit and if it is correct. Not that one hit triggers all endstops.
