Z axis unwanted offset

Hello,

I've been struggling with this for almost three days now. I have a Prusa I3 rework (not original prusa), was running repetier 0.91.x and it was printing just great. Until I decided to upgrade to 0.92.9. After long hours I could make the endstops work correctly, but now I have some offset on the Z axis that's really annoying. When I go G28, it works just fine homing, but then the Z goes like 4mm up. I've checked on the configuration.h tab the values I considered relevant. These are:

Z_PROBE_Z_OFFSET 0.

Z_MIN_POS 0

FYI: I don't have any autolevel, I just do it manually.

Try updating eeprom with

M502

M500

It seems like this was the problem, after M502 the machine just worked fine. Thanks a lot for the support, I was almost on panic.

you still need to send the M500 after the M502 to update the eeprom
