GUI of the Server via HTTP (or other proto) on an different System?

I’ve got some special requests/questions again.

Is it possible to access the server's GUI via HTTP(s) from another system?

Background:
My server is currently running on a Pi 4 with an SSD and an attached 5" touchscreen.
Since I’m planning to hook up three printers to it soon, the cable clutter is becoming a real nuisance. So, I’m considering an alternative.

Idea:
I have a spare 15" FHD touchscreen. It would be perfect as a "control center." To move it around the room (more or less) freely, I’d like to connect a Radxa Zero (left over from another project) to it; this would simply connect to the LAN via Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, I’d mount the Pi 4 server—along with all the other gear (power supplies, USB hub, power strips, LAN switch, etc.)—to the wall. Then, I’d just pull up the server GUI via HTTP on the Radxa to display it on the 15" screen, while sending the touchscreen commands back the other way...

Will that work?

Addendum:
I realize I can access Repetier via port 3344; that’s how I always do it from the other room.
What I’m referring to now—in addition to that—is what is displayed locally on the small screen right on the server...

Yes that is possible, you must just drill a hole in the security system or have no users. The url is simply
http://ip:3344/modules/front2/app/app.html/

Read https://www.repetier-server.com/startup-configuration/ on how to change main config on startup, What you need is an extra entry like:
<whitelist-frontend-ip>::1</whitelist-frontend-ip>
just with the ip the display pc has, so better make it a fixed one. Than it will be able to show same touch display without beeing rejected for not running on same pc. All other IPs will still be rejected with this solution, so it just an exception for that pc.

I have two more questions regarding this:

1.
It feels like the individual icons take forever to load compared to the "standard" GUI—about 5–7 seconds. The "Hardware Info" icon takes even longer; it takes a full 25 seconds to appear.
Is there any way to tweak this?

2.
The icons appear sequentially, depending on the screen resolution; they "wrap" to the next line if the resolution decreases.
Is there any way to assign specific "rows" to the icons and center them?
I’m thinking here of the option to arrange multiple active printers side-by-side to keep an eye on all of them at once.

Separately, I have a feature request for V2:
Would it be possible for the "standard" GUI to remember the settings under "Control"—so that the preferred display mode (2D, 3D, collapsed explanations, webcam in the sidebar instead of the model, etc.) is preserved for the next session?

Thanks, I found a solution. In next release they will preload so are loaded before javascript is loaded so they appear much earlier. 25 seconds is not normal. It would mean network connection is very slow. I can see the effect but not 25 seconds long. Different times is because the icons come from 2 different fonts, so one my be finished later.
Not possible in regular app. See docs on how to make custom front gui. There you get our sources and can arrange them as you like, but that is custom modification and for every version you need to check and compile with latest version. So more for a vendor bundling it.

Regarding your idea to remember state, I will check if storing in localStorage is an option. Would be permanent per browser but every user has different preferences with this. Problem might be several open tabs overriding settings. Need to check this as well. Guess every change overrides the one on other open tab then.

Regarding point 1:
It can't be the network. The Pi connects directly via CAT7a to a NetGear GS748T, and from there—also via CAT7a—to my workstation. Okay, the Pi doesn't support 1G, but the rest of the setup does. The "standard" GUI loads immediately, and the "local" GUI appears instantly too; it's just the icons that take a really long time...

Regarding point 2:
That’s a shame; did I imagine it would be too simple?
Once the new version is out, I’ll give it a try and see if I can cobble something together manually here...

I don't think that should be a problem. Usually, there is only one person with specific preferences regarding the display. Even if that person has multiple tabs open, the preference for having things displayed a certain way remains the same.
It would also be conceivable to save the modified settings only after clicking something like "Save Preferences." That way, you could tinker around in the tabs however you like; as long as you don't save, everything would revert to your preferred state the next time you launch the program...
And when different people use the device, it’s usually the case that each person uses their own user account, under which their specific settings are saved.
