Hi guys I am trying to build a SLS 3D printer using the Repetier Firmware
Currently I am using a Arduino Mega with a Ramps 1.4 Board
The gantry is conventional Cartesian xy gantry such in a laser engraver
I want the powder bed and the build chamber to be on the same Z- axis header and want the recoater to be on the extruder axis.
would love to know how should i modify the firmware as it is for my final year project all of the build is complete but i am stuck due to the firmwares I was using Marlin before and it was giving me a lot of Problem.
would love to know your suggestions as I am new to this Custom printer stuff.

Not sure what that means as this is nothing I ever did. But are you aware that there is the possibility to have at least 3 extra motors which can move slowly (not part of path planner) and can have end stops e.g. for homing. Not sure if extruders can have end stops.
