Extruder not responding

I'm trying to move my extruder with repetier host but it doesn't respond. I'm trying to move it without heating the hotend and bed and I'm using the dry run feature, it should work right?

<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">No, dry run means do not heat extruder and do not extrude. Also it is not possible to extrude unless you have reached the min extrusion temperature. Except with newest 0.92 version when cold extrusion is enabled:</font>

<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">- M302 S<0 or 1> - allow cold extrusion. Without S parameter it will allow. S1 will disallow.</font>

If you mean xyz moves, that should be independent of any temperature anyway.
