X-axis homing has too large of a retraction

I've just installed my end stops on a custom 3D printer and just started testing the home function. Y- and Z- axes home perfectly, they activate the limit switch then step off just enough to clear the switch, but X steps off almost 50mm, when it should only step off about 3. I've searched through both the code and configuration tool to find a way to change this, but I can't seem to find it. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it?

SO I've found this line:

#define ENDSTOP_X_BACK_ON_HOME 4

And I've found it's corresponding location in the configuration tool, but my printer still retracts too much

Do you have a double extruder? In that case it will move back the distance of the extruders to allow selection of extruder 2 without hitting the endstop.
