  • Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll

means the error was raise din windows kernel. I can not recreate it from your steps so it is unclear if kernel functions get called wrong or kernel is defect.

    Try in admin cmd.exe
    sfc /scannow

to check windows integrity to be sure it is correct. Maybe also redownload and install host 2.0.1 to be sure components are also good and reboot windows for what it is worth. Host requires .NET 4.0 and OpenGL. Windows 10 comes even with .NET 4.5.2. For opengl make sure that it shows a graphic card in log and not the generic opengl driver from microsoft - that is known to crash and only implements OpenGL 1.1 (which might be why it crashes).
