extuder temp control not showing

in Repetier-Firmware
i have installed a new 3D printer software from the latest server install and just got it up and running and found that there is no control for the extruder.
when i send a print the extruder heats up. but there is no visual controller as there is for the heated bed

    It is in manual control on the right side and also in the top you change temperature of active extruder.

    I had a similar problem with repetier-server. Trying to configure a new printer via the Printer Settings page by updating the default values doesn't seem to work. The 'Save Configuration' function didn't appear the save anything (no config .xml file was written) and the extruder config just wouldn't save. I found that the work-around for this is to use the 'Add New Printer' wizard, which does save the config file.

    What file did you try to upload? A previously downloaded config or a eeprom dump? Can you provide it for backtesting if it was a downloaded config file.
