no connect with repetier server

Hi All
when I load repetier and connect to the server i get a green connect but printer is dead  and the manual panel shows not connected.
Using Win 10  hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    The last line in the log window is as follows
    At REPETIERSERVERCONNECTOR,SERVER CONNECTOR,WSRECEIVE2 (OBJECT SENDER,MESSAGE EVENTARGS E)
    IT SEEMS THAT WHEN I LOAD THE REPETIER HOST WITH THE SERVER RUNNING AND GO TO THE SERVER CONNECT
    BAR IT CONNECTS  BY THE HOST CONNECT ICON BUT IF I SWITCH TO MANUAL  IT SHOWS THE PRINTER IS DISCONNECTED.

    It sounds like the server is not connected too the printer

    When host connects to server the connect button only shows if connection to server is successfull, but not if the server has connected to printer. User server frontend to configure connection parameter. Most important is to select the right firmware. Repetier with marlin will for example not work.
