Repetier-host-1.6.2 to Marlin-1.0.0 issues

Hello,

I have some difficulties interfacing those two software.

Apparently, they both attempt to transmit the moment connection is established. This transition seems to defect the arduino-marlin in a bad way.

In an attempt to cope with it, I set the handshaking "Use Ping-Pong communication (Send only after ok)".
It somehow smooth the problem.

However the marlin report: "echo: SD card: ok". The repetier-host sees this ok as handshaking. :-(

And I still suspect that my serial port communication is not set properly and this cause some serial port exception.

So:
a. Can we have repetier-host to slow down for a few second while marlin makes it "speech"?
b. Can you treat "ok" as handshaking when it comes after newline?
c. Can you publicize the serial port parameters of the repetir-host?

  • Actually the ok is checked like this:
    res.StartsWith("ok") 
    meaning line starts with ok. If you enable logging commands it would maybe more easy to see what is exactly happening. I will also try with my marlin also it is 1.1RC.

    causes the problem. Firmware sends "start" quite early, so we do not have to wait too long for it to appear after connect. As you see the timeout was reached and host normally then sends also some lines and my guess is that these interfere. Can you say how long it takes between connect button and start to appear?

    Does connection normalize after the start problem?
