Need a little help with extruder heating

I am using the PID controller for the temperature manager in 0.92.3 and when ever I set a target temp the heater it is either on at 0 or 100 percent, nothing in between. It has a very hard time reaching and maintaining temp when it is doing this. Trying to reach 300c is almost impossible because of how it will not stay at 100 long enough. Using the PID autotune it will heat up normal no matter what temp but just heating up the extruder the regular way is where the issue is. Ramps 1.4 MAX PWM 255 PID DRIVEMIN 50 MAX 255 HEATER PWM SPEED 15Hz TEMP CONTROL RANGE 20C

Let me know if there is a setting I missed that you all need, thanks

  • Doe snot sound like you have PID active. Please check in eeprom what your heat manager is set to. From description it is either bang bang or dead time.
  • Yep that was the problem. I had it changed in the firmware to PID but it was set to heat manager 3 in the eeprom for some reason. Thanks for the help.
